The Alphabiotic Alignment

Let stress patterns unwind and feel what it's like to live life in balance.

What is an alignment?

An alignment is a brief, gentle, hands-on process that sends a signal to the brain and aims to bring the body into a measurable state of balance. This process invites the body to let go of accumulated stress patterns and allows the nervous system to shift from a sympathetic (fight or flight) state to a parasympathetic (rest and digest) state. This shift takes only a few seconds, though its effects can unfold over hours and days. When the nervous system returns to a more balanced, regulated state, the body's natural capacity to recover comes back online.

What happens during an alignment session?

Sessions take place in your home or outdoor area. We use a specially designed table, similar in size and comfort to a massage table.

We begin with a few simple assessments to observe how stress patterns may be showing up as tension in the body. These give us a baseline to compare against after the alignment. The alignment itself is a brief, gentle, assisted movement of the head that takes only a few seconds. This movement stimulates a group of nerves near the base of the skull, sending a signal to the nervous system and allowing the body to shift out of chronic stress patterns into parasympathetic (rest and digest) mode. Afterward, we repeat the same assessments so we can observe together any changes that have occurred.

Your first visit will take a little longer than subsequent ones. We will ask you to fill out a short form about your health history and goals, walk you through what to expect, and make sure you feel completely comfortable before we begin. Plan for around 45 minutes for your first visit, and less for return visits.

What do people typically notice after an alignment?

Every person's experience is different. Some notice something right away. This could be a release of tension, a deeper breath, a sense of calm or lightness. Others notice changes more gradually, over the hours and days that follow. Some notice very little at first, and find that awareness grows with subsequent sessions. All of these are valid experiences. Progress is measured by observing tension levels over time, not by whether you notice changes right away.

Changes may be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual in nature. They can range from subtle to significant. Occasionally the body goes through a brief adjustment period as it releases long-held stress patterns. This is normal and typically short-lived.

With regular sessions, most people find that the effects deepen and last longer over time.
